Ugento 

It is an ancient messapic centre in the far south of Salento. In Ugento we can find fun, art, history and culture. Some centuries ago this town was surrounded from strong and mighty boundaries with some doors which were the only possible accesses to the city: today there are only the rests of these ancient boundaries which defended the city from external invasions. In the town museum we can admire some historical Roman and Messapic findings.

Ugento is the ideal place where you can contemplate the enchanting show of the sunset on the Ionian Sea. Here colours and tastes of nature mix together: vineyards, secular olive-trees, long golden beaches, a crystalline sea, a clear and a bright sky. You can visit and admire the Castle, the Boundaries , the archaeological Museum and the old the Cathedral.
